After nearly three years of developing a booming business in craft beer, cocktails, and Scandinavian cuisine on Brooks Street in Downtown Wake Forest, Norse Brewing Company is growing its footprint by launching a new location in Zebulon and planning an expansion of its flagship location.

Voters in Wake Forest will soon decide how the Town will finance new infrastructure and amenities needed to keep up with current and anticipated growth.

Mention economic development in many circles, and thoughts immediately go to the recruitment of sprawling factories from out-of-state corporations. But plans to sustain the economic health of the Town of Wake Forest include other business development avenues – including retail.

Work is already underway on a 10-acre redevelopment vision at the north end of downtown Wake Forest that will amplify the town’s appeal as a “live, work, and play” destination. At the heart of the plan by Alliance Group of NC is the preservation of a one-time S&W Chevrolet dealership housed in an 80-year-old building into an attractive venue for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The yet-to-be-named food hall will offer indoor and outdoor food and beverage options and special events via food vendors and full-service restaurants.
