Nestled within the heart of Wake Forest lies a thriving hub of diverse businesses that embody the spirit of the charming Town. The Wake Forest Business and Industry Partnership (WFBIP) recently collaborated with Roseland Pictures to create a promotional video discovering the delightful essence of Downtown Wake Forest. Highlighting its unique blend of businesses that cater to various interests and preferences, the video showcases local businesses that not only reflect the town's rich history but also its vibrant present, offering a wide array of experiences for both residents and visitors.
Jason Cannon, President of the WFBIP, approached Roseland Pictures with a unique idea not prominent in town promotional videos. “He came to us with the big idea to promote Downtown Wake Forest, not from the typical 'family fun' angle, but instead highlighting how Wake Forest has multiple offerings for the ‘grown-up’ crowd as well," said John Sammon, Roseland’s Managing Director. Taking the inspiration Cannon had given, Sammon and his team ran with it. “We thought it would be great to follow three separate adults as they experience a diverse set of activities across Downtown, from shopping, yoga, bowling, etc., and then have them all meet up for happy hour, dinner, and a live show,” said Sammon. “This approach allowed us to highlight local businesses and show the public that in addition to Wake Forest’s many offerings for youth and family, there’s a whole other layer of fun designed for adults.”
Roseland worked closely with the WFBIP to identify businesses that were enthusiastic to participate, recognizing the promotional value for both Downtown Wake Forest and their establishments. They specifically sought out companies that offered engaging entertainment opportunities for adults. These business owners were overjoyed to help promote Downtown, and used their own networks to help fill in spaces with extras on scene.

Cannon’s hope is that the video will introduce Wake Forest residents to new and exciting experiences, encourage those in surrounding areas to explore the Town further, and entice potential newcomers to consider Wake Forest as a place that has something for everyone, whether young or old. "For an amazing meal, a night out at the theater, and the perfect setting for a quaint yet memorable experience, book a babysitter and head out for all Downtown Wake Forest has to offer," said Cannon.
The most rewarding aspect for Roseland Pictures was the collaboration with the business owners and the Town itself. "We loved getting to know many of the business owners Downtown,” said Sammon. “They were incredibly helpful in making this film a true collaboration between all of us, beginning with the WFBIP."
