Speaker Bio: Alex Centeno is the Creative Director and Owner of Merkados Digital Agency and has over 20 years of experience in digital media consulting, design & development. Since starting his company in 2008, Merkados has served hundreds of national and international business owners in reaching their digital media goals.

Alex has provided digital marketing consulting, design and development services to government agencies, medical practices, hospitals, universities, small businesses, independent professionals and public figures. With a primary focus on helping small, local businesses in the RTP region grow, Merkados uses a creative and hospitable approach with unique strategic solutions that helps their clients stick out in a competitive market.

Alex's past experience also includes working as an Interactive Marketing Manager at the largest SEO firm in the US at the time (MarketSmart Interactive) and working as Director of Digital at AndiSites. He holds several digital design and marketing certifications and has been a speaker at WordCamp on the benefits of automating tasks with WP-CLI for WordPress.
